Project impact certification
Providers who wish to ensure that they are implementing Project ImPACT with fidelity should become certified in the program. Certification involves 6 months of consultation from a Project ImPACT Trainer Consultant while using the program with families. Providers must also demonstrate fidelity to key components of the program through the submission of video and program materials. Providers should have completed the Project ImPACT program with at least 1 family before beginning consultation, and have at least 1 current family who agrees to be video recorded for the video submissions.
We recommend organizations who plan to offer Project ImPACT on a regular basis pursue certification for a minimum of 2 providers in order to develop staff expertise and ensure program sustainability. Certified Project ImPACT coaches can informally train and support other professionals within their practice setting in Project ImPACT. Certified coaches who wish to offer introductory training workshops and/or train others to certification can complete additional training to become a Project ImPACT Trainer Consultant.
Certification in Project ImPACT involves the following steps:
Step 1: Read the manuals and complete the Beginner and Advanced Courses
Step 2: Receive 6 months of consultation from a Project ImPACT Trainer Consultant while using the program with families
Step 3: Meet fidelity of implementation through submission of video of key components of the program
