Advanced Course
We offer a rich combination of asynchronous and synchronous training activities to prepare providers to implement Project ImPACT with families.
The Beginner e-Course (formerly called the Online Tutorial) introduces the Project ImPACT program and the intervention strategies. The Beginner e-Course is offered as a 6-hour, self-paced online tutorial that uses a mix of didactic elements, video examples, and exercises to teach key concepts. Following the Beginner e-Course, providers attend the Advanced Course (formerly called the Introductory Training Workshop) which prepares providers to use the Project ImPACT curriculum with families. The Advanced Course is offered as a 14-hour, multi-day workshop that uses a combination of lecture, video review, role play, and small group discussion to help providers apply the concepts learned in the Beginner e-Course. Advanced Courses can be delivered in person over two full days (7 hours per day) or virtually over four half days (3.5 hours per day).
Open Advanced Courses
Open Advanced Courses are offered periodically throughout the year. In-person courses are usually offered in Portland, OR and East Lansing, MI. The cost is $675 per participant. This cost includes access to the Beginner e-Course and the coach and parent manual set. Open workshops are capped at 20 participants.
Closed Advanced Courses
Closed Advanced Courses are offered to community organizations based on trainer availability. The cost of a closed Advanced Course is $7,500 for up to 20 participants, plus travel costs for the trainer for in-person courses. This cost includes access to the Beginner e-Course; the coach and parent manual must be purchased separately for each participant. We allow organizations to cost-share to offset the cost of hosting a closed Advanced Course with written permission from the trainer.
